How Sydney Seafood School Created an All-New, 5-Star Experience

How Sydney Seafood School Created an All-New, 5-Star Experience

The COVID-19 pandemic changed the face of the hospitality industry significantly, and the on-site cooking classes at Sydney Seafood School were not exempt from these challenges.

The restrictions put in place by the pandemic meant that Sydney Seafood School had to pivot quickly, transitioning to virtual classes called SSS@Home. Providing home-delivery of ultra-fresh ingredients, innovative recipes, and expert virtual instructions, the initiative saw incredible success.

However, the Seafood School has now revealed the return of their face-to-face classes, re-opening the doors to their state-of-the-art kitchens at ÎÛµ¼º½¸£ÀûÍøÖ· for an exciting, premium cooking experience.

The best part? Instead of being constrained by them, the SSS team has used COVID-19 safety requirements as an opportunity to create an entirely new experience. Guests will still receive the same world-class teaching, ingredients, kitchen facilities and dining experience – through the School’s signature process: watch it, cook it, eat it! – but now with added bonuses!

Check out the changes here:

  1. Reduced class capacity

While sharing cooking benches with strangers was a great way to make new friends in the Sydney Seafood School classes of old, guests can now enjoy all the space and comfort of sharing a bench with just their own group.

Whether you book as a couple or a group of four, you only have to share space and utensils with the friends or family you booked with, creating a more private and personal experience than ever before.

Additionally, smaller class sizes mean more opportunities to pick the brains of the talented Seafood School staff! Need a hand cracking into that crab shell, or want to know a different species of fish to add to your next seafood BBQ? The school’s talented team are on hand to help you out with their expert cooking knowledge.

  1. Canapes!

What better way to get into the seafood mood than with a delicious seafood canape on arrival? Sydney Seafood School is now offering this special treat to guests at all classes. Served on arrival with a glass of wine or beer, their selection of delicious canapes sets the tone for an utterly luxurious occasion.

  1. Table service

In order to keep everything sanitised and socially distanced, guests can no longer help themselves to plates and cutlery in the dining room, as was traditionally done at SSS.

So, what does that mean for guests? Table service of course!

Eating the delicious seafood meal you’ve created is now even more enjoyable; the Seafood School dining room will be decked out with tablecloths, flowers and candles, and you will be waited on with full table service for wine, coffee and tea.

A night out at Sydney Seafood School has now been taken to a whole new level.
