ÎÛµ¼º½¸£ÀûÍøÖ·’s retail stores will remain open throughout the Easter long weekend for the provision of seafood and other produce to the public. Good Friday will operate with extended trading hours from 5am – 5pm. On Saturday, Sunday and Monday the site will be open from 7am -5pm.
The health and safety of visitors, employees and other workers at ÎÛµ¼º½¸£ÀûÍøÖ· is our highest priority. We are closely monitoring the Coronavirus (Covid-19) situation and are complying with and responding immediately to all guidelines which are issued by the and the .
In addition to the hygiene and social distancing measures already in place, we have developed a comprehensive Covid-19 Management Plan for Easter in consultation with NSW Police.
The plan involves restricting the number of people permitted both onsite and within individual stores at any one time as well as ensuring social distancing. To enable us to track visitation numbers, we will be operating only one pedestrian entry point (opposite the Bank Street ‘Fish Market’ light rail entrance) in addition to the car park entry. There will be very limited carparking onsite, so we encourage you to consider alternative arrangements or park in the surrounding precinct.
On arrival, all visitors will be required to undergo a quick and non-invasive temperature check conducted by a registered nurse. Once access is granted, visitors will join a pedestrian lane for the store/s they wish to enter. These lanes will be clearly marked and managed by SFM staff and security with strict social distancing in place. Police will also be onsite to assist with vehicle and pedestrian flow.
Much of the site, including the retail arcade will operate under a one-way system (enter at Doyle's Restaurant end, exit at Waterside Fruit Connection end).
Current visitation at ÎÛµ¼º½¸£ÀûÍøÖ· is significantly lower than usual, however it is difficult to predict the number of people anticipated on Good Friday and the rest of the long weekend given this is typically a popular holiday for seafood consumption. We implore visitors to retain a 1.5m distance from others and to be respectful and obliging of the procedures we have in place to ensure their health and safety. Shoppers should come prepared knowing what they want to purchase to enable them to move through the retail areas quickly and efficiently before returning home.
Many of our retailers are now accepting online orders and are making deliveries which is an excellent option for savvy shoppers. Please click here for more detailed information about these services.
We also encourage customers to complete their Easter shopping earlier in the week. Our website has handy information about refrigeration and freezer storage of seafood here.
